our story

We want to change the world for the better - one cell at a time.

At MitoQ we strive to make a global impact by empowering every body to support their health.

We created a pioneering antioxidant that is supported by decades of global scientific research.

When you support your health you can enjoy life and that positive effect radiates outwards.

Like everything great in life, it starts small.

Supporting your everyday health means you are helping your body keep up with your dreams.

Our story began with a single antioxidant molecule

In the late 1990s our founding scientists Professors Mike Murphy and Robin Smith set out to discover why many antioxidants weren’t well-absorbed by specific parts of the body very effectively.

Breaking through

Working at the University of Otago in New Zealand’s South Island, they created a new and unique antioxidant molecule, Mitoquinol Mesylate which has the ability to be absorbed into the energy-making powerhouses inside your body.
